About Me

I’m Kashan

I work across the full stack, specializing in React and Next.js on the frontend, with Node.js and various databases on the backend. I focus on building complex enterprise applications that require scalable architecture. This includes, but isn’t limited to:

• CMS-based websites
• Multi-tenant, multilingual dashboards
• AI-powered platforms, especially chatbots
• Independent design systems with Storybook
• Systems handling thousands of concurrent users

How it began

I was born in the summer of 2000 in Pakistan. My dad built a SaaS product soon after my birth, which gave me the inspiration to learn web development once I grew up, and so I did, and soon fell in love with the programming, the engineering, and the UI.

I learnt English through video games and movies, I consistently would receive the highest score in English exams at school and the lowest in Chemistry (don’t ask why).

Time went by, I worked my ass off, and 6 years later I can proudly say that I’ve worked with people from across the globe, especially from the US, UK, UAE, and France.

How its going

Just a month ago, I built this AI-powered website for a dating startup in the UAE, before that I was building the finest money transfer app in the UK, and the list goes on.

I’ve worked across healthcare, fintech, and edtech - building complete full-stack solutions from clinic management portals, to virtual classroom platforms with WebRTC connecting teachers and students globally.

Each industry taught me something different about handling complex user flows, database architecture, system scalability, and most importantly how to build a product that resonates with the people. Each gave me a new perspective and I gave back my best.

Most of these platforms included multiple apps, sometimes distributed between web and mobile, and that created the need for unified design systems that either work through a monorepo or get published to a repository where the apps can install them from.

This is where my love for engineering hits the peak. Creating a design system, making it reusable, publishing it to a package respository such as NPM, making it installable within a monorepo, creating stories for it using Storybook, just so good 🔥

Behind the scenes

I’m a total nerd who enjoys video gaming, working out, spending time with family, and dreaming big dreams while sometimes taking a step or two to make them a reality. I also love watching TV, my favorites include Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Arcane, and Ozark.
